Privilege

The objective of the working group was to research the issues around confidentiality of self-assessment materials provided to regulators and, if deemed advisable, to develop a model to assure statutory protection of these materials.

Fall 2008: The Privilege Working Group has published the Privilege Model and completed its final report. Implementation of the model requires legislative changes in most jurisdictions which is a decision that rests solely with each jurisdiction’s government. The CCIR thanked the Privilege Working Group for a job well done, noted that they have fulfilled their mandate admirably and agreed to disband the committee.
