The objectives of the Industry Practices Review Committee is to research and recommend to CCIR and CISRO possible responses and policy objectives around the environment and controls around compensation to sales intermediaries and financial linkages between insurers and sales intermediaries and conflicts of interest.
Industry Practices Review Committee posted its final report entitled IPRC Review of Implementation Report to the CCIR website in December 2008. This paper presents the results of the review of the industry’s implementation of the three principles for managing conflicts of interest that the CCIR and CISRO have conducted over the past two years. The CCIR thanked the IPRC for a job well done, noted that they have fulfilled their mandate admirably and agreed to disband the committee. |
